Root + Branch is a volunteer group of bodyworkers, herbalists, nutritionists and support staff who offer free health services to onsite underserved communities. Born from the work of Stone Cabin Collective, Root + Branch carries its decolonization and advocacy work to Southern Arizona. We work in conjunction with similar organizations in order to deliver support where the most unmet need exists.

Megan Cox is a native Tucsonan and is passionate about the health of her community. Raised by holistic practitioners, she came to know alternatives to mainstream medicine early. Her studies in medical anthropology furthered her appreciation of traditional practices. Having previously worked on the AZ-MX border as a researcher/translator/grant-writer, in rural China as a fundraiser/coordinator for student eye care, and as an outreach worker with the New York Harm Reduction Educators, Megan finds purpose in grassroots approaches to boundless healthcare access. Currently, Megan runs Tucson Structural Bodywork, where she is a practicing rolfer, doula, and movement therapist. Her practice focuses on pain management, posture rehabilitation and trauma processing. She has been a member of the Stone Cabin Collective for the last four years and she is thrilled to be bringing this work to Southern Arizona via Root + Branch.
